Hello Keith! I'm looking forward to sampling your music and also buying some CDs. I hope you and yours are doing well. The first time I heard you was in 1971-72 when I picked up a used copy of Stimulus in a second-hand store in London.

I was about 19 and upon listening to that LP became a real fan of yours. I remember going out to a few places in London to hear you perform. I went to these performances on my own because none of my friends shared my enthusiasm for your music.

I eventually moved back to the states and have not heard or seen anything of you in all this time. I really wanted to reconnect with your music because although I remember nothing of it (sorry) I do remember the impact that it had on me at the time. I didn't remember the album's title until now as I recognized the cover.

Your album and a Manfred Mann album circa that time period (also used and it had an almost solid green cover) were the sounds I listened to repeatedly.

Later, Deborah

Hi Keith, thanks for putting me on the mailing list. My bloke Martin and I were blown away by Saturday's set at the Severn Sailing Club - we were only planning to pop in for a quick drink but couldn't leave! (And that's saying something for a couple of Big Band trombone players.) At first I felt disappointed that there weren't more people there but by the end, the intimacy of the night was just right. Been listening to Acoustica ever since. I don't claim to know a lot about the genre but you reminded me of Mark Flanagan, guitarist with Jools Holland's band, who's also released some solo stuff that I'm into. Great night, thanks a lot, we'll keep an eye out for you again

I met you a couple of times in the summer of 1968 at Cousins, The Troubador or Bunjies (or all 3) when I was traveling in Europe for the first time with my good friend Stan Werbin.
I remember being impressed by your stage presence, performance and writing and have wondered what happened in your career over the years.
Now, thanks to the internet, I have found your web site and am pleased to see that you have continued to play and write.
I particularly recall a song you wrote and performed called 'The Iceman Cometh', I believe.
I would like to hear that again and wonder if it is available anywhere.
I ended up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida after spending 10 years living in Sweden. I am still playing guitar, banjo and mandolin and performing and I am active in the folk and acoustic music community down here. I'm on the board of directors for the annual South Florida Folk and Acoustic Music Festival.
In 1971,Stan opened a music store called Elderly Instruments which has become one of the largest and most respected sources for folk and traditional music and instruments in the U.S.
I'll see him later this month at the Folk Alliance conference in Montreal.

Hi Keith. Just read a review of acoustica in the online mag Acoustic Guitar Review, followed the link here and... Wow.
I saw you on the Old Grey when you did Robin Head a capella. You played in a room over a pub in Whitstable around 1979 when the Univ of Kent Folk Club got bounced out of their usual venue. It was a really good evening, there were about 20 of us total. Cool.

I live in California now, but am returning home for my aged P's 50th wedding aniversary around September 25. It would be great to get to a gig while I'm over. Anything going on around then?

All the best mate

Jo

Hello Keith- You may have a vague memory of me going back about 35 years. I hope so. My name was Maureen Corbett then. I have often thought about you over the years and wondered what you have been doing. It was a lovely surprise when my partner recently dicovered and bought your latest CD for me.I had been given 'acoustica' last Christmas and so I knew that you were still playing. I have really enjoyed listening to those old songs again and they sound so good on 'timeless @ strange'. I particularly enjoyed 'you cant lose' (my song) and 'travelling down'. It's really amazing to think that all those years have gone by. My life has been mainly good with just the usual high's and low's. My three sons are lovely people and I am very proud of them. John Robertson and I got divorced about 23 years ago. I did a degree in social work and for the past twenty years have been managing mental health teams in Westminster as well as doing lots of other things.I still listen to music a lot. My son Daniel is a manager at an HMV store and keeps me up to date. Hope to see you at a gig one day. Very best wishes to you and Julia-have a great life together-lots of love Maureen.

Hi Steve

I was using a new chorus pedal and it may have been set a bit 'wild' last night!

I personally like the chorus effect as the guitar always sounds, to my ears, horribly empty but that's from years of playing it I suppose

I am going to re-evaluate the sound before Dartford on Tuesday

Best wishes,

Hi Keith. Came to see you in London last night at the 100 Club. I was very impressed with your set, but, I have just one gripe......Please please please, ditch the 'Chorus' pedal.....I feel it really spoiled your music.
Using a Chorus makes the music sound almost 'dated'!
I hope I haven't offended you, the music you play is great!
Keep up the good work!
All the best....I look forward to hearing you play live again soon!
Regards.
Steve

Keith, Condiments of the Seasoning and to you and yours.Thoroughly enjoyed the performance at The Ffrwrm in Caerleon, as did all who were lucky enough to attend.
Give me a call if you would like to arrange a gig in 2004.
Good luck with your projects in 2004, particulary the launch of the new album. But for now: May your tree provide the spirits of the forest with places to perch while they share Christmas with you .... I think.

Was just having a surf when I found your home page. I'll be along to the gig in Dartford in February. A couple of questions. First off, will you be selling the best of CD and the Manticore reissues at the gig? Secondly, if you're up for a pre-gig show in the same town that afternoon - nowt major, maybe a few songs and a talk about the craft of writing lyrics - give me an e-mail. We might be able to work something out.

Just been looking through the Phillips' Modern School Atlas, used last in college years 1970-73 (Cardiff), when I came across, inside the back cover, an entry for October 29th 1971. For the princely sum of 60p, I read, I saw the Islands' tour of King Crimson at the Capitol in Cardiff and you played the early set.

Sadly the Capitol is now removed from the Cardiff skyline, now replaced by the nearby Cardiff International Arena lacking all of the atmosphere of the city's earlier venue.

Well 1971 was a long time ago but I'm pleased to learn from this site that you are still playing gigs. Your set prior to Crimson's was tremendously well received that night.

In answer to an earlier posting, the place in Cardiff is spelt 'RHIWBINA.'

I must dash but please remember:
If you forget me you have lost nothing; but if you forget Jesus you have lost everything; (Jn 3:16-17). Check out... http://www.kings-church.org.uk for me.

I think i was about 17yrs old when i was taken by a older lady to her place in London where i was spiked with micro dots, all i can really remember apart from my outer body experiance was an album cover that said Keith Christmas. The music was angelic.
For many years i have thought about what happened and i have longed to hear that music again, now i find it could be possible,i am worried about breaking my dreams of how great it was.I am in my fortys now,and not on drugs!

What a trip down memory lane, just found this website. I used to go to Cousins in Soho 1969 to watch you play. (I still have your Stimulus LP - I thought you were incredible!) One night one of your guitar picks flew off, at the break I returned it to you. After the show you came by my bed sit and played your guitar for myself and a few friends - it was amazing. As you can see something I never forgot. I saw you a couple of times after that, then you returned to Bristol and I moved out of London.
Can't wait to hear more of your music.

Hi Mark

funnily enough in all the gigs that have gone through to holes in my memory, that one stands out

we were in a pretty elevated state and the poor MC who had the job of getting us onstage had a real job on his hands

By the time he got us up there it was late and in the middle of the set someone released a Chinese painted hot air balloon that slowly rose up into the night in front of the stage - an amazing sight!

I remember you playing a storming set at Stonehenge 79.

A friend (who was a big fan of yours and wandered round for hours muttering to himself in a state of shock when he realised you where on the set list for the night) and I hitched down from the North East for the festival and you played the best set of all the bands on that year.

Nice one.

Mark

Hi Keith, you were the first live act I ever saw - supporting the Who way back in the 70\'s and later Ten Years After - both at De Montfort Hall in Leicester.

The sellotape round fingers was impressive !

Pygmy has stayed with me all through the years but would dearly love to have it on CD - any chance of it happening? Tab or chord details also much appreciated

Hope to get to see you this year - the news that older tracks will reappear is just too attractive to miss

Hi Keith, or as I'm writing from New Zealand, Kia Ora!

I ran away to New Zealand to forget about all those musos I had to deal with when I was the Sales Manager at the Victoria Rooms Bristol in 1991, which was a real good time to be in the business! I think we put on one of your early gigs of that period in our front bar and one of the senior University staff got drunk and abused the hell out of you! Well, luckily for us you came back and your perfomances at the Vic Rooms at that time were fantastic, falling in between Red House and the other live one at the Roundhouse?, which I can't find on the website or remember much about.

Good times, great people- Mike Silver turned up here in Nelson a few years ago on tour and gave me all the goss. I still have fond memories of that time and watch the web with interest, so was pleased to come across your new site- very nice.

It was a real pleasure to know you at that time and I wish you well with your future musical car
